All In – Together Georgia Counties Thrive! 2017 ACCG Annual Conference

ACCG wants Georgia counties to be All In with the 2017 Annual Conference! County government is the government closest to the people that provides the services and programs used by constituents on a daily basis. Those services and programs fall in areas such as economic development, health, and public safety and involve separate governing entities that constitute the makeup of your local government. This year’s theme was created to promote a sense of togetherness amongst all county leaders and to demonstrate the importance of thriving together. Join ACCG and your fellow county commissioners in Savannah/Chatham County for education, networking, and fellowship as we showcase the ways working together leads to success for the overall community.

Early Registration for the Early Birds

ACCG is once again offering an early registration period for those who arrive in advance of the official start of events. Early registration will take place on Thursday, April 27 from 4 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Early registrants will have the opportunity to:

  • Avoid the crowd at peak registration times.
  • Pick up conference materials including their name badge and delegate “goodies” before everyone else. (Sounds like a win!)
  • Plan ahead and accordingly for conference events by reviewing their schedule, all from the comfort of their hotel room on Thursday evening.
  • Enjoy a more relaxing breakfast before education courses Friday morning. Please note that Friday courses begin at 8 a.m.

Not able to make Early Registration? No problem! Registration will open promptly at 7 a.m. Friday morning. This will allow us to take care of everyone registered for a class and make sure they are where they need to be in a timely manner!

Show ACCG How Your County Is All-In!

Submit your photos or video clips to show everyone how your county thrives! ACCG knows that it takes teamwork to get things done in your counties – among county employees, in cooperation with other governmental entities, and with community partners. To showcase this, ACCG would like counties to send in examples of teamwork and success that have contributed to Georgia’s local communities. These examples will be captured in a video that will run during the Annual Conference, spotlighting county initiatives in the “All In” theme. ACCG is seeking fun and dynamic images. Submission guidelines are as follows:

Photos – 300 dpi minimum (10 max per county)

Videos – Short video clips are acceptable. Videos captured on mobile devices will also be considered.

Each file must be must be accompanied by a description that explains its context. Include the project name, what it is, and the names and official titles of any individuals featured.

Note: ACCG cannot guarantee that all photos or footage will be used, but more is better than less so that we have options when putting together the video!

Photos and video clips must be emailed to Communications Fellow Destini Billins at dbillins@accg.org no later than Friday, March 17 at 4 p.m. Please title the email: ACCG Conference Submission. Any questions can be directed to Destini Billins at dbillins@accg.org or (404) 522 -5022 ext. 197.
